Gwenn and the passerby recognize themselves, it’s her friend Yannick, an engineer in advanced technology. He comes closer to the car to greet her. They are both in a rush and just take time to exchange their contact details.
Yet, Gwenn has noticed the glance of her friend stops on her bracelet. He has the time to tell her while he leaves: “You should change your car, you risk to break down.” Her car is old and begins to show serious signs of tiredness. The engine noise is not discreet and she is always afraid of not being able to restart. But the move and her new functions did not allow her to take time to care about it. Moreover, she does not like the necessary negotiations in several garages to find the best car at the best price. Gwenn always finds excuses to postpone the deadline. But today, it becomes indispensable, it’s after several jolts that Gwenn manages to regain her place in the covered parking.
Very busy, she stays in the office for the lunch break and allows herself only a small break at the fast food around here and she forgets her car problems. But by late afternoon, an important customer request her to come urgently to advise him as he is right in a tax audit. Gwenn turns pale after hanging up. No company car is available and she will have to use her own vehicle. Moreover, her client asks her to go to an agency that is located a hundred kilometers away. She has no choice, she goes down to the garage and looks for her key in her bag.
She finds one, but very modern which has nothing in common with the one of her old car. Furthermore, she does not recognize her vehicle, but with curiosity she presses the key beep and the vehicle opens. She hesitates, but she’s too in a hurry to ask herself questions. She walks towards the small modern car which she is unable to find the make and that seems coming out of a science fiction movie. Suddenly…
